Lost and Found
Thursday, December 9, 4:30 – 7:30pm
This workshop deals with the feeling of grief, when we permanently lose someone or something. We will experience the immersive artwork Blossom by multi-sensory artist Wolfgang Buttress, as we understand it’s deeper meaning that things can’t go back to the way they were, but this can also be the start of something new. We will create wearable art that reminds us to appreciate the moments we share.
This school year, our professional development workshops focus on ways to help students reflect on their experiences during the global pandemic, with meaningful discussions and art-making activities. Each program in the series deals with a unique emotional experience (isolation, disappointment, loss, etc.) and offers ways to reflect and rebuild in the context of art education.
Teachers will earn three CPE credits for each workshop they attend.
