“Suspense screwed way beyond the sticking point, superb camerawork from Charles Lang, and Crawford in nerve-janglingly extravagant form.”—Geoff Andrew, TimeOut
Recently restored, this thrilling tale is a showpiece for the brilliant Joan Crawford. She stars as a playwright married to a less-than stellar actor (Jack Palance). It was her money that he’s after, and he plans to murder her with the help of his girlfriend on the side (Gloria Grahame).
The film received Oscar nominations for cinematographer Charles Lang, Jr; actress Joan Crawford; and supporting actor Jack Palance. 1952, U.S., 2K DCP restoration, BW, 111 minutes.
