Zoom calls and emails often aren’t enough when we really want to connect with someone far away. We will tour Meatyard's The Unforeseen Wilderness exhibition as an example of how an artist shares their private journey. Then we will create personal audio recordings to document moments that can be shared, re-mixed, and surprisingly useful for helping students feel less isolated. 

This school year, our professional development workshops focus on ways to help students reflect on their experiences during the global pandemic, with meaningful discussions and art-making activities. Each program in the series deals with a unique emotional experience (isolation, disappointment, loss, etc.) and offers ways to reflect and rebuild in the context of art education.

Teachers will earn three CPE credits for each workshop they attend. For safety, this in-person workshop will be limited to 16 participants.
