Space for Belonging: I Am Here
This 8-week photography workshop will be a fun introduction to visual storytelling, and introduction to digital photography. Throughout this digital photography series, led by local visual storyteller and photographer, T.A. Yero, participants will explore how lighting, composition, and movement can visually give words to your story.
You do not have to have any experience in photography to participate in this series. We are looking for those who are 55 years and above who want to explore the power of self-expression and exploration by tuning in your own personal history and narrative. This is for people who are looking for new ways and people to create with.
Cameras and other supplies will be provided for those who register for this workshop. Be advised you will be asked to bring in personal objects or photographs as a part of this program.
This is an 8-week series that will conclude with a public exhibition of participant’s works at the Speed Art Museum.
We ask all participants to commit to more than half of the 8-week program. The workshop will begin November 3, 2022 and continue every Thursday from 12-2 PM for 8 weeks.
