Directed by Brian Taylor

“One of the great jet black comedies about suburbia.”—Dennis Harvey, Variety

Filmed in Louisville, this new bloody comedic horror satire takes the refrain “my parents are going to kill me” to new extremes.  Director Brian Taylor’s (CrankGamer) script skewers familial tensions in the vein of Parents and Heathers.

A strange 24-hour sickness suddenly causes parents to violently turn against their own children, forcing a suburban teen (Anne Winters) and her younger brother (Zackary Arthur) to evade the clutches of their now-deranged mom (Selma Blair) and dad (Nicolas Cage). However, their situation gets even more complicated when their grandparents (Lance Henriksen and Marilyn Dodds Frank) show up for a visit.

Cage and Blair deliver their best performances in recent years with Cage in a murderous rage and Blair as the family’s emotional anchor. 2017, U.S., DCP, 83 minutes.  Rated R
