“You have to see it to believe it.”—A.O. Scott, The New York Times

From the extraordinary mind of Cannes Film Festival Palme D’or-winning director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and starring Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton, comes a bewitching drama about a Scottish woman, who, after, hearing a loud band at daybreak, begins experiencing a mysterious sensory syndrome while traversing the jungles of Colombia.

In an unconventional move, art-house film distributor Neon is releasing Memoria from city to city, theater to theater, week by week, playing in front of only one solitary audience at any given time. The film will only screen in cinemas never to be released on DVD, on-demand, or streaming platforms. Its release will take its inspiration from exhibitions or touring concerts, only to be presented in a sole venue in the U.S. at a time.  The Speed Cinema will be the only place to see the film June 17-19.  2021, Colombia/Thailand, DCP, in English and Spanish with English subtitles, 136 minutes. Rated PG.
